For several editions now, Azur Sport Organisation has clearly expressed its desire to stand out from other races by offering more and more new features each year. This year, new individual or team challenges will be available to allow everyone to participate in the adventure according to their goals and desires. There are a total of 8 challenges for some 8000 runners… on April 29th, there will be something for every taste in nature!
In partnership with the daily newspaper METRO, the METRO Business Challenge will allow companies to strengthen ties between team members and to display their company colors in the 21.1 km or 10 km races. The Clubs Challenge will maintain a friendly competition among national and international clubs while para-athletes will be highlighted by having a staggered start a few minutes later (at 9:26 AM) on the 10 km or 21.1 km races of their choice.
The Notaries Challenge or the Triathletes Challenge will embrace the same philosophy as the other challenges offered, namely: running as a team, stepping out from anonymity, and enjoying oneself by exploring new athletic limits.
Azur Sport Organisation is not resting on its laurels and is introducing three new challenges. The first is directly in line with the spirit of competitive sport, namely the Journalists Challenge (which will “amicably” pit regional journalists against national journalists) in three races of choice: 3 km, 10 km, or 21.1 km. The last two match the spirit of recreational sport: Mother/Daughter and Friends Challenges as part of the 3 km Everyone Nice Race against breast cancer.
On April 29th, come and take part in your challenge and participate in the 16th edition of the Nice International Half-Marathon.
