As this street festival dictates, bring your hat (handmade) and a fresh fish around noon to the square, where a fish soup is being prepared. Afterwards, there will be a procession through the narrow streets of old Nice, with music, a brass band, batucada, etc. Later, it will be time for the release back into the sea from the Ponchettes beach until next year.
On Sunday, April 29th starting at 2:00 PM, everyone can come to participate in building the Santa Capellina on the little St Augustin square in Old Nice, just below the Providence Theater (second street to the right from St Franรงois Square when going up Pairoliรจre Street). Following this, a small street snack/meal will be organized. Participants are asked to bring something to eat and drink, as well as materials to tinker with the Santa and to construct their hats at the same time (the hat can be made from recycled materials, shoe boxes, cardboard, bamboo, fabric, paper, string, etc.).
