The artistic rehabilitation program for an outdoor passage on Rue des Arbousiers is quite original, to say the least. Under the direction of the artist from Carros, Dominique Landucci, local residents are indeed invited to participate and become actors in the project themselves! Thus, the two walls of the passage of the “Les Blés d’Or” building will soon be covered with a ceramic mural… Hence the name “Céramicité.”
The uniqueness of this work thus lies in the involvement of the tenants of the concerned buildings. The work involves taking a photograph of one person per family, whose face is then reproduced in ceramic. In this way, the residents will leave a trace of belonging to their neighborhood.
Moreover, a narrative and writing effort about the experiences lived by each individual in Carros helps to enhance the project. The installation of the work will also be an opportunity to discover the work done by everyone.
