Starting on July 1st, 2009 until July 10th, 2009, CIN’ETE offers the public free cinema sessions. The event will showcase three films to the audience: “Little Miss Sunshine” (a dramedy by Jonathan Dayton), “L’enfant Lion” (an adventure film by Patrick Grandperret), and “L’Esquive” (a drama by Abdellatif Kechiche). These three very different films aim to encourage people to go to the cinema. For the event, five neighborhoods in Nice will host the screenings of these films, from Bon Voyage to Las Planas, including La Madeleine.
Screening Schedule:
Little Miss Sunshine:
– Wednesday, July 1st (10:00 PM) – CAL Bon Voyage (2 René Coty Bridge)
– Friday, July 10th (10:00 PM) – Ecole de la Madeleine Supérieure (282 bd de la Madeleine).
L’enfant Lion:
– Friday, July 3rd (10:00 PM) – Sports ground of CAL Las Planas (2 rue Jean-Henri Fabre)
L’Esquive:
– Saturday, July 4th (10:00 PM) – Courtyard of the Nice-Flore / La Vallière school (avenue Auguste Pégurier)
– Tuesday, July 7th (10:00 PM) – Lecuyer Garden / L’Ariane (rue Emile Rippert)
About Cinema:
Before each screening, children’s workshops will take place at the Leisure and Animation Centers (C.A.L.) of the different neighborhoods. For two hours, they will have the opportunity to perceive cinema differently through film culture, image reading, etc. This is a way to motivate the younger generation to take an interest in cinema and to frequent movie theaters.
To participate in these workshops, however, it is necessary to register at one of the Leisure and Animation Centers.
