The Regional Center for University and School Works (CROUS) of Nice-Toulon and the company La Recette Magique are partnering throughout the 2009/2010 academic year to open the doors of gastronomy to students, introducing them to its flavors and subtleties.
The chefs of the CROUS kitchen and their teams will offer students a gourmet lunch once a month at the price of 2.90 euros, which is the cost of a university restaurant ticket.
These gourmet lunches will be created by some of the greatest chefs of the Cรดte d’Azur associated with La Recette Magique, taking into account the usual operating constraints of the CROUS, which are:
โ cost constraints,
โ reference constraints (ingredients to be chosen from the 2500 products listed at CROUS),
โ constraints related to collective catering (large number of meals served per day, limited break time, etc.).
On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, DURING THE WEEK OF TASTE, the first gourmet lunch will take place in the 5 university restaurants:
โ Nice center (Law campus – 5 avenue Robert Schuman โ Nice) in the presence of Frรฉdรฉric Galland, chef of the Parcours restaurant in Falicon
โ Montebello (Science campus โ 96 avenue Valrose โ Nice)
โ Carlone (Letters campus โ 80 boulevard Edouard Herriot โ Nice)
โ Hรฉlios (Polytech’ Nice Sophia campus โ 2240 route des Lucioles โ Biot)
โ Coudon (university campus โ 657 avenue du 1er BIMP โ La Garde)
