We were present on May 13th when Chinaski was the opening act for a 3-hour stage performance. The band from Nice shared with us afterward the incredible emotion they felt facing Cali’s attitude, a top artist who, at the end of the concert, brought them back on stage to share the energy of the audience and fulfilled faces. A generous and genuine attitude from a man who is the same on stage as he is off.
Bruno Caliciuri is a class-act artist who gives his all without holding back. Between passion and humility, he generously offers everything he has in his guts. His songs, tenderly sad or joyously cynical, resemble him in the human contrast he embodies. A life marked by multiple exiles and breakups from which he has grown. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and perhaps it’s for this reason that with every 3-hour performance, he remains undefeated, or maybe it’s due to the years of rugby he’s played.
When asked what he’ll do if it ever stops, he replies that he finds it hard to believe, that he is fulfilled for life, and that he will continue to follow the path of his heart with conviction. The luck he’s had to experience these past three years, filled with meetings with his idols, duets, and testimonials, has touched him more than anything.
Cali is also a father who fights with conviction without forcing others to follow. From fathers’ rights to land rights, he follows his heart at all costs, and if asked, it’s the advice he gives: “trust yourself and follow your heart.”
