MOSAรC, the National Secular Federation of Citizens of Muslim Sensibility, is organizing its first major national conference on October 31 at the C.U.M. in Nice (8:30 AM to 6 PM) on the theme: “Citizenship and French of Muslim Sensibility: Together, Let’s Change the Game! Challenges and Perspectives”.
Under the high patronage of Christian Estrosi, Minister in charge of Industry, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Cรดte d’Azur, this public meeting aims to “assess the situation of these 6 million French citizens” and also discuss “the best courses of action, new ideas and methodology to change mindsets, daily life, and improve living together in the Republic,” according to Dr. Marouane Bouloudhnine, National President of Mosaรฏc.
The speakers scheduled include Abdel Aรฏssou, President of the National Council of Businesses for the Suburbs and Deputy CEO of Randstad, Mohamed Abdi, Special Advisor to Fadรฉla Amara, Secretary of State in charge of Urban Policy, Michel Auboin, Director for Reception, Integration and Citizenship, Ghaleb Bencheikh, President of the World Conference of Religions for Peace, Emmanuel Bertin, Head of the National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities, Dalil Boubakeur, Rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, Dounia Bouzar, Anthropologist of Religious Facts, Fayรงal Douhane, Deputy Director General of the Association of Mayors of Ile de France, Mezri Haddad, Writer and Philosopher, Rachid Kaci, Sub-Prefect, Bariza Khiari, Senator, Fadila Mรฉhal, President of the Mariannes of Diversity, Eric de Montgolfier, Prosecutor of the Republic, and Aziz Senni, Founder and President of the Business Angel des Citรฉs investment fund.
The conference, its president further notes, should serve as a “think-tank” for Mosaรฏc and members of its 23 regional offices. It will notably allow for “defining its future priority actions”.
