Indochine was formed in 1981 by the Sirkis brothers, Nicola and Stรฉphane, and their friend Dominique Nicolas. The band of friends achieved significant success in France and Europe during the 1980s, with acclaimed hits such as *Lโ€™Aventurier*, *Canary Bay*, and *Trois nuits par semaine*. They ignited passions and gained numerous fans.

Their landmark album, titled “3”, was released in 1985 and sold nearly 750,000 copies.

After a period of moderate success in the 1990s, Indochine made a strong comeback in 2002 with “Paradize” and a single that dominated French radio, *Jโ€™ai demandรฉ ร  la lune*. The subsequent tour was triumphant and led to the recording of a new album.

“Alice & June” was released in 2005, featuring numerous artistic collaborations with artists like Brian Molko, Didier Wampas, and AqME.

At 50 years old this year, Nicola Sirkis and his band are returning stronger than ever to the forefront of the music scene. The group’s latest creation, “La Rรฉpublique des Mรฉtรฉors”, was highly anticipated and released on March 9, 2009. This album includes two CDs and tracks like *Little Dolls*. A limited edition is also available for this new album, containing bonus tracks *We Are The Young*, *You Spin Me Round*, and *Mexicane Syndicate*.

Indochine will conclude their tour on June 26, 2010, with a major concert, already sold out, to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary at the Stade de France.

In the meantime, residents of Nice will have the chance to applaud them on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at 8:30 PM at the Palais Nikaรฏa, for an exceptional moment.
