This unique architectural complex, erected in the middle of a Mediterranean garden, includes the former 18th-century residence of the Arson family (listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments), today nestled among modern constructions of concrete and pebbles designed in 1970 by Michel Marot. The building is labeled as 20th-century Heritage. Dedicated to contemporary art, Villa Arson is a one-of-a-kind establishment combining a national higher school of art, a national center for contemporary art, and artist residencies.

Free visits of the site and exhibitions on the 15th and 16th of September from 2 PM to 7 PM.
Discovery tour of the entire site and its architectural achievements: gardens and terraces; 18th-century chapel; library-documentation center, which on this occasion displays remarkable books from its collection, including artists’ books created at the Villa; workshops, contemporary works installed in situ, etc.
Visit the four current exhibitions at the National Center for Contemporary Art:
Gino de Dominicis, Gérard Gasiorowski, Saverio Lucariello, Julien Bouillon
Four monographic exhibitions of artists who share the commonality of questioning the foundations of art, particularly painting, by using regressive practices—whether fictional or symbolic—to undermine aesthetic certainties. Visits in the presence of mediators who can answer your various questions about these exhibitions.

Meeting-conference on 15th September at 5 PM with Michel Marot, architect, and Jean-Paul Potron, historian (In outdoor amphitheater, or indoors in case of adverse weather)
Meeting with historian Jean-Paul Potron about the Arson family and Villa Arson in the history of Nice, and architect Michel Marot (former student of Walter Gropius and grand prix de Rome), author of the constructions realized in the 1970s, which are rediscovered today as 20th-century heritage.
