Several sports are offered FREE of charge to children aged 4 to 16 and are supervised by qualified educators, such as aeromodelling, gymnastics, athletics, karate, virtual wings, wrestling, badminton, first aid, basketball, table tennis, boxing, archery, cycle touring, trampoline, fencing, free flight, American football, volleyball, and golf.
Promoting sports initiation in the Alpes-Maritimes department is the priority of the CDOS. This is why several sites along the coast, in the mid-country, and the highlands have been chosen to host this sports caravan: Breil sur Roya, Le Moulinet, Valberg, Auron, Berre les Alpes, St Laurent du Var, Contes, Isola 2000, Menton, and Nice.
This concept will allow young people, who do not always have the opportunity, to discover various sports. Besides the aim of playfully initiating these activities, it may also encourage an increase in the number of young registered members in clubs. Furthermore, the presence of seasoned athletes will help boost enthusiasm for these disciplines.
