An unprecedented opportunity for the public to discover this site, its gardens, its architecture labeled as 20th-century heritage, and particularly the connection that Villa Arson has with heritage as an institution dedicated to art for over thirty years, bringing together a national arts school, a national contemporary art center, artist residencies, and a media library.
On the agenda for these days: discovery tours and guided visits of the site, its history, architecture, gardens; exploration of an interactive 3D model of the buildings and meeting its designers from the National School of Architecture in Marseille; visits to the art center’s exhibitions and the 2008 graduates’ exhibition; tours and a slideshow on artworks created on-site…
The highlight of this program will be a roundtable discussion on the theme “Heritage and Creation” under the lens of public commissioning, with the participation of artists, historians, critics, and public commissioning stakeholders.
