“Whatโs important is to interact with others; thatโs what music is,” as Dominique Leguerne, the director of MIDEM, pointed out to us. Live music has become a major segment and a source of income that has increased by 30%. “People want to rediscover sharing, the stage, and that despite the very high ticket prices.” Another thriving area is music with images, meaning music used in advertising, video games, movies, and TV films. “It holds great importance. A piece of music can become super well-known thanks to a hit movie.” Yes, music still and always has a bright future!
