For the first time in France, the largest South African show will be in Le Cannet, on Friday, November 14 at 8:30 PM at La Palestre.
African Footprint is the result of a compromise between African, tribal, traditional, and ancestral culture and the more familiar “Americanized” European strain. Original, unique, and unprecedented, African Footprint is performed by 30 talented artists. Warm, rhythmic, and frenetic, the show is the harmonious combination of Afro and Euro elements in music, dance, and singing. The dances alternate between Kwela-Jive, traditional gumboot, tap dance, contemporary ballet, and hip hop pantsula. The instruments are as diverse as African percussion, the saxophone, or the Irish penny whistle! The messages of the songs are directly inspired by the texts of Don Mattera, the most famous poet of South Africa.
Moving, the show is not mere entertainment; it is a pure artistic gem whose fascinating beauty leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of men.
African Footprint is an explosion of music, dance, and song!
