Under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in collaboration with the National Italian Confederation of Handicrafts (CNA), this initiative created in 2000 and carried out in memory of Ms. Falotico, a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, awards a prize each year to a thesis that fully fits into the program of cooperation and development of cultural and economic relations between France and Italy promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the Luciana Falotico Prize will be awarded to Milena Viassone for her research entitled “Regional Competitiveness Index: a comparative application to the Piemonte and PACA regions,” which highlights a model of regional competitiveness applied to the Piemonte and PACA regions through a comparative analysis.
Around this theme, the conference “The Competitive Advantage of Cross-border Areas” will be organized on the occasion of the event, allowing a focus on the current role of cross-border regions.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce will have the honor of hosting the interventions of Roberto Quaglia, General Director of ESCP-EAP Italy, Albert Marouani, President of the University of Nice, and Vice-President of the Regional Council Patrick Allemand, who will discuss the strategies of cross-border regions of the Euroregion.
Two specialized professors will contribute to enriching the debate: Giuseppe Tardivo, a professor of economics at the University of Turin, will speak about the development and internationalization of Cuneo from a cross-border perspective. Jean-Paul Lemaire, a professor of economics at ESCP-EAP in Paris, will address the issue of defining a regional policy with an international scope.
This morning of reflection among economic professionals, the academic world, and institutional representatives will conclude with the award presentation.
