No to the burning of 105,000 tonnes of waste at the VICAT cement plant.

Latest News

The project to burn 105,000 tons of waste at the VICAT cement plant located in la Grave de Peille has just been relaunched by the cement company with the support of the State.

This relaunch comes at a time when:

– The General Council’s study on air quality in the Paillons and its effects on the health of residents is not completed;
– The official results of air quality measurements in the Paillons reveal high pollution, with very frequent exceedances of limit values, especially in fine dust less than 10 microns;
– The French government has just been obliged to launch a study on the causes of abnormally high pollution in our region.

In light of this situation, the collective of elected representatives and environmental defense associations of the Paillons invite you to gather to protest against the VICAT project.
