-The Wildshot 23 project brings together a drummer, an organist, a keyboardist, and a video artist.
Four cardinal instruments that have dominated our instrumental landscape for a decade.
The electronic dimension of the ensemble is handled by Otisto 23, the keyboards are managed by Laurent de Wilde, the drums by Germain Samba, and the projections by Nico Ticot.
Continuing the musical adventure presented at the Nuits Carrées in June 2010, the group digests its repertoire and gains a new member in its percussive form to reinvent a repertoire derived from the bursts and fragments of the piano-computer duo: taken freely, often out of context, the samples from this two-way conversation are re-injected into this new group in a more rhythmic and electric form.
The setting of the Hartung foundation, with its spaces filled with colors and jets, will have a decisive influence not only on the musical materials created there but also on the work of the video artist Nico Ticot, who will have the task of rendering this music tangible in space.
The goal of this residency is therefore to create a repertoire infused with Hartung’s pictorial work and to organize a tour with this ensemble.
