At La Palestre du Cannet, on February 5th at 8 PM, a wrestling gala will take place, bringing together the best European wrestlers of the moment and a few North Americans. On the program: muscles, sweat, technical moves, and above all, great spectacle.
For all fans of strikes, off-the-top-rope maneuvers, and clothesline hits, in short, for all wrestling aficionados, the Wrestling Stars Federation is coming to La Palestre, in Le Cannet, on February 5th for a special show titled “The Clash of the Gladiators.” Two and a half hours of increasingly spectacular matches will see the greatest current European wrestlers battling it out in the ring: from Domino, the Apollo of the ring, to the powerful Joe Atlas and the acrobat Miseria. Also noteworthy is a women’s division featuring fighters named Divine Isabella, Shanna, and Lady Lory.
Fights far from the American format
Admittedly, these names may not mean much to most of us. However, Wrestling Stars is the largest wrestling company in Europe. Certainly, we are far from the glitz and glamour of the big World Wrestling Entertainment shows. Nevertheless, here, the matches will be of rare intensity and the blows really felt, unlike the encounters we’re used to seeing in American companies.
For fans of the sports entertainment world, we can just name two. The first: Pierre Carl Ouellet, the brother of WWE Diva Maryse, former partner of Jacques Rougeau at the WWF, where they performed under the name “The Quebecers,” three-time tag team champions in 1993 and 1995. He was even crowned Hardcore champion in the late World Championship Wrestling in 2000. In short, a heavyweight in the wrestling world will showcase his talent during this show.
The Local Star: Tom LaRuffa
Second point: we will see a local from Nice, Tom LaRuffa. The only representative from the Azure region in this profession plays the role of “The Olympian.” He indeed enters the ring with a helmet worthy of the greatest Hollywood epics. Trained by Lance Storm, a former wrestler in Total Non-Stop Action and one of the world’s best trainers, Tom LaRuffa has already wrestled in the ring with legends such as Finlay, The Undertaker, Kane, Edge, Batista, and Big Show. With his Sรฉbastien Chabal-like appearance, he will inevitably be one of the attractions of this muscle and adrenaline-filled event that only wrestling knows how to deliver.
