Latest News

In the presence of Major Thierry Granier, commander of the Contes brigade, his ten deputies, and elected officials from the canton, Pierre Couve reviewed the actions of the military personnel. The number of road accidents is stable, with a slight increase in the number of injured. The number of two-wheelers involved in these accidents is significant.

The number of crimes and offenses has slightly increased by 2.1%. There were 336 incidents recorded in 2009, compared to 329 in March 2008. The clearance rate of 55.4% is very encouraging. So-called local delinquency, which involves thefts and vandalism, has decreased by 13.8%.

Thanks to the measures implemented, 31% of cases have been solved, a relatively high figure compared to the national average. It should also be noted that no offenses were recorded on New Year’s Eve.

Outlook for 2010? โ€œContinue the teamwork and in-depth efforts with the help of the delinquency prevention brigade, local elected officials, and institutional partners,โ€ says Squadron Leader Pierre Couve.

The Contes brigade extends its operations across five municipalities.
