Free of charge, these are reserved for people aged 65 and over who reside in Nice. To this end, the city of Nice provides Memory Prevention Workshops for its residents, supervised by psychologists from the Memory Resource and Research Center.
The goal? To train and test cognitive functions. This initiative will be launched on the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day. These days have been established to counter this disease. Indeed, some epidemiological studies have shown that training and exercising memory functions play an important role in maintaining memory capabilities.
However, for these workshops to operate efficiently, it is necessary for the work to be done in limited numbers. Registration will therefore take place from March 9 to 19 at the Health Center office in the Nice City Hall.
Available from Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM, you can also contact the Health Center at 04 97 13 21 40.
