“Love without love letters cannot exist,” wrote the contemporary Canadian author Jean-Marie Poupart. To express this intense feeling, the Postal Service offers all lovers the chance to write their most beautiful handwritten letters in 25 lines through the “Declare Yourself in Writing” contest. Despite the explosion of new communication means, the letter remains a precious and romantic form of communication. It is a medium of touch, contact, and closeness.
You have until March 31, 2010, to convey your love, the competition’s closing date. A jury will select the 6 best writers in early April. Originality, writing quality, and the emotion aroused in the reader are taken into account. At stake are exceptional prizes, including a romantic weekend getaway. So, ready your pens.
