Cavigal Wrestling is set to launch in March an introductory wrestling program for athletes with disabilities, both children and adults, who wish to learn this sport, thanks to a partnership with the departmental adapted sports committee. A great idea that deserves to be shared!
This initiative has been undertaken in partnership with the Alpes-Maritimes departmental adapted sports committee, aiming to implement introductory wrestling programs with various centers.
The section would allow individuals with disabilities to develop their sporting skills and gain access to wrestling practice.
An initial session took place last Monday under the supervision of instructor Jean-Michel Deya, who effectively managed both child and adult groups. This was, of course, with the support of specialized educators from different centers. There were about twenty participants during this day.
A weekly session will start in March at Salle Vernier.
The club has also contacted the parasports committee to launch a similar wrestling initiative with other centers.
