During the round of 16 of the French Volleyball Cup held this Tuesday, February 22, 2011, Nice Volley Ball suffered a heavy defeat, losing three sets to none (25-16, 25-23, 25-23) on the court of Tourcoing. This marks the sixth consecutive loss for the team from Nice, following their home defeat against Poitiers the previous Saturday. Slobodan Lozencic’s men are currently 13th in the Ligue A standings and are five points behind Toulouse, the team just above the relegation zone.
On Friday, February 25, NVB will play away against the last-placed team, Saint-Quentin. Hopefully, this will be an opportunity to break this losing streak.
