The sports portal is opening to the clubs of the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community.

Latest News

With nearly 50,000 visitors in less than 6 months and more than 900 articles published by sports associations in Nice, the sports portal, which was the first participatory associative site initiative by a local community on the web, has proven its worth in the Nice web landscape. It is now opening up freely to 26 other municipalities and all of their clubs or sports associations to allow for easy communication about club activities (events, sports meetings, titles, etc.). Nice officials did not hesitate to use the sports portal, and undoubtedly, their counterparts from the French Riviera will soon join them to inform internet users about the activities and life of their sports association, as confirmed by Frédéric Allo, President of the Nice Nautical Club: “The sports portal of the City of Nice allows us to effectively centralize all information about ALL sports in Nice. Not only can we publish information about our sports activities, but we are also aware of what is happening in ALL other sports, because even if our sports are different, our objectives are the same.”

The sports portal, what is it?

It is a multimedia web platform that allows each sports association or club to communicate about all its news, events, or major happenings. Indeed, one can find the latest published articles on the homepage, and by clicking on one of the sports disciplines located in the right column, you can discover all the news about the concerned sport (example: MARTIAL ARTS) whereas by clicking on one of the clubs, you can follow all the news of the selected sports association (example: Nice Rugby Côte d’Azur). For image enthusiasts, the Videos section provides visual coverage of sports events in Nice and the French Riviera, while an RSS Feed is available for subscription via social networks to follow all these updates. Practically, a contact form allows you to directly get in touch with all associations on the portal via a submission form. Finally, the sports portal also has its Facebook group, which has 540 members and features all the news published on the portal.

If you are a sports association or club located in one of the 27 communes of the Urban Community Nice Côte d’Azur and wish to be part of the sports portal, nothing is easier. You simply need to send a request via email to franck.viano@ville-nice.fr or julien.arnold@ville-nice.fr specifying the name of your association, its address, its phone number, and/or mobile number, its email, and possibly its website. You will then quickly receive your username and password to publish your information on the Nice Côte d’Azur sports portal.
