– Monday, March 7 – 6:00 PM at the Theatre of Photography and Image
27, boulevard Dubouchage – Nice
– Inauguration of the tenth edition of “Mars aux Musées”.
This “1930s” themed evening, a nod to the August Sander exhibition presented at TPI, promises to be festive and original, reflecting the 2011 program of the Nice cultural event.
– In attendance will be: Muriel Marland-Militello, Deputy, Deputy Mayor for Culture of the City of Nice; Eric Gasperini, Vice President for Culture at UNS; Paul Rasse, University Professor, and Caroline Kassis, president of the student organizers of “Mars aux Musées”.
The sultry atmosphere of interwar cabarets will be recreated by Lady Flo, a rising star of the Neo-Burlesque scene. She will perform music hall acts before offering the audience a Charleston dance class. The festivities will continue on the dance floor with a mix by DJ Ben, reviving the wild rhythms of this vibrant decade.
For its 10th anniversary, “Mars aux Musées” has found a notable friend: Patrick Moya. The French artist, a leader of the New School of Nice, has unfolded his colorful and enchanting universe to create the poster for the 2011 edition of MAM. A pioneer of digital media, he will present a unique animated film, specially inspired by the event.
