With over 60,000 visitors in 6 months and more than 900 articles published by Nice’s sports associations, [the sports portal](https://sports.nice.fr), which was a first on the web in terms of participatory associative site initiated by a local community, has proven itself in Nice’s web landscape. It is now being opened free of charge to 26 other municipalities and to all their clubs or sports associations in order to enable very simple communication about the life of the clubs (events, sporting encounters, titles…).
Nice’s leaders did not wait to join the sports portal, and undoubtedly, their Azurian counterparts will soon join them to inform internet users about the activities and life of their sports association, as confirmed by Frédéric Allo, President of the Nice Nautical Club: “The sports portal of the City of Nice allows us to effectively centralize all information about ALL Nice sports. Not only can we publish information regarding our sporting activities, but we can also stay informed about what is happening in ALL other sports because even if our sports are different, our goals remain the same.”
What is the sports portal?
It is a multimedia web platform that allows each sports association or club to communicate about all its news, events, or major gatherings. Indeed, on the homepage, one can find the latest published articles, while by clicking on one of the sports disciplines listed in the right column, you discover all the news related to that sport (e.g., [Martial Arts](https://sports.nice.fr/-arts-martiaux-.html)), while clicking on one of the clubs allows you to follow all the news of the selected sports association (e.g., [Nice Rugby Côte d’Azur](https://sports.nice.fr/-nice-rugby-cote-d-azur,010-.html)). For image enthusiasts, the [Videos section](https://sports.nice.fr/+-video-+.html) offers visual coverage of Nice and Azurian sporting events, while an RSS Feed is available to follow all these news items and subscribe via social networks. Practically, a contact form allows for direct contact with all the associations of the portal through a [submission form](https://sports.nice.fr/index.php?page=article&id_article=69). Lastly, the sports portal also has its [Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=139680221947) with 540 members, which includes all the news published on the portal.
So if you are a sports association or a club located in one of the 27 municipalities of the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community and wish to be part of the sports portal, it’s very simple. You only need to send a request by email to [franck.viano@ville-nice.fr](mailto:franck.viano@ville-nice.fr) or to [julien.arnold@ville-nice.fr](mailto:julien.arnold@ville-nice.fr) specifying the name of your association, its address, phone and/or mobile number, email and potentially its website. You will then quickly receive your username and password to publish your information on the Nice Côte d’Azur sports portal.
