Sunday, March 27, 2011 – Multipurpose Hall of the Valbonne Regional High School from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

The Parisian Dance Masterclasses are coming to the south of France! And for the first of its kind in the Alpes Maritimes, Guillaume Lorentz, a rising figure in Hip Hop New Style and RaggaJam, will share his passion on Sunday, March 27th at the multipurpose hall of the Valbonne Regional High School.

In response to significant demand from the many dancers in the Alpes Maritimes, 3 students from the Event Communication department at the IUT Nice Côte d’Azur (Sophia Antipolis site) have decided to organize, in partnership with Culture Danse, a Valbonne dance association, the first hip hop and RaggaJam workshop in the department. It is open to all, beginners and advanced, girls and boys, young and old.

A Talented Teacher

For this event, Guillaume Lorentz will host 4 classes throughout the day.
A dancer for rapper Soulja Boy, he has already participated in numerous shows on prestigious stages such as the Casino de Paris or the Cirque d’Hiver. He is part of the Ragga Jam Salsa troupe and the hip hop group Hey Crew.
Guillaume Lorentz enthusiastically and passionately shares all his skills through Hip-Hop and Ragga Jam choreographies, each more rhythmic than the last.

Reconnecting Boys with Dance

Hip hop is a dance with multiple facets, physical and fun, which is bringing boys back into dance studios. In various Hip Hop events, the majority of dancers are boys, most of them young.
RaggaJam, a rich blend of Afro-Jamaican street dance enriched with hip-hop and jazz movements, is the current sports trend in Paris. Dynamism, fun, and sharing are at the heart of classes in this new style.
