Musical director and arranger for the Orquestra Anacaona, Janysett McPherson has collaborated with Alain Perez, Omara Portuondo, Manolito Simonet, Joaquin Betancourt, Tataguines, and Gérôme Savary.
The Orquestra Anacaona recently released a new album honoring her with the key track “No lo Puedo Evitar” composed by Janysett herself. She was also awarded the Best Performer and Composer Prize at the Cuban Music Awards.
Janysett McPherson is a woman of character. She, therefore, needed strong musicians to be part of the journey.
Accompanied by Dominique Viccaro, who signs numerous arrangements, and Rafael Paseiro with his lively bass playing, Janysett delivers her music unabashedly, sharing full enjoyment.
The Janysett McPherson Trio will be performing at the Note Bleue (Monte Carlo) with Dominique Viccaro (Drums) and Rafael Paseiro (Bass) on Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th, and Friday 9th July 2010.
