Intergenerational meetings, a delighted jury & the 2011 awards! The second edition of the Cinémator Festival, an amateur short film festival organized by the association Cinéactions in collaboration with students from the IUT of Nice and held this past weekend, was a success.
The high-quality programming, achieved notably through partnerships with the Superior School of Artistic Professions of Montpellier (ESMA) and the Superior School of Audiovisual Realization of Nice (ESRA), delighted both spectators and participants who came to watch the screening of their works.
Review of the 2011 edition
The event gathered 150 people, aged 8 to 78,
including people from Marseille, Montpellier, and Carros.
The jury, chaired by Boris Dolivet, co-author of the animated film “Lascars” released in 2009, awarded 4 prizes and an equal number of special mentions.

• “Nissa Miniatura”, by Christophe Santana (general public category)
– Also received a special mention, the association Cinéaste Vidéo Associés
of Marseille (a collective of retirees) for its contribution with 6 projects that were
funny, touching, or full of promise.
A great way to encourage amateur filmmaking in the region and to acknowledge
the intergenerational dimension of the 2011 edition.
