Le Lavoir (avenue JC Mallet in Mougins village) is exhibiting the paintings of Marie-Françoise SZTUKA until April 12.
The artist initially trained in oil painting by working on classical subjects, then moved away from them to lean towards abstraction. Her paintings draw their strength from their eminently contemporary composition: her urban universes are born from motifs with dynamic lines, whose rhythm is sustained by intense light and colors. She also relies on gesture, sometimes using a brush, sometimes a knife, to alternate violence and silence—a dialogue on the canvas waiting to be discovered…
