Claude Onesta, an iconic figure in the sports world, will be on the Sophia-Antipolis campus for a conference as part of the 2010 edition of “Parfums de Victoire.”
A former player from 1968 to 1987, and then a coach, he has one of the most impressive coaching records in handball with titles in major competitions, the Olympic Games, the World Championship, and the European Championship.
In January 2010, he led “his blues” to a second European title, making France the first handball nation to simultaneously hold all three major titles.
“I clearly feel that there are commonalities between the world of sports and the world of business: in casting, human management, role assignment, and everything related to feeling and non-verbal communication (…) it is a transfer of skills between the two spheres.”
