In 2009, in a school in Nice Nord, Astrid Veillon transforms into an attractive schoolteacher in front of about fifty students. The actress was participating in the fight against illiteracy as part of the “Reading for All” program, led by the writer and municipal councilor Raoul Mille. And from December 13 to 17, Astrid Veillon and Raoul Mille are renewing this initiative in the schools of Nice.
As part of the “Reading for All” Fight against Illiteracy, a journey to the land of dreams and words is offered by Raoul Mille and Astrid Veillon.
The “Reading for All” movement, actively led by Raoul Mille, Municipal Councilor for Literature and the Fight against Illiteracy, aims to foster a love of literature among young people, particularly through work on imagination. For two years, a program has been implemented in schools, middle schools, and high schools participating in the operation. The principle: a writer, one week, school establishments. Nice is the only city in France developing such an anti-illiteracy operation in classes from primary to high school.
During the week from Monday, December 13 to Friday, December 17, 2010, the students and middle schoolers of Nice Cรดte d’Azur will have the opportunity to meet Astrid Veillon, who will talk to them about three of her works, Can You Forgive Me?, The Bathroom, and Nine Months in the Life of a Woman.
