The 13th edition of the PromโClassic took place yesterday morning along the world’s most famous promenade, setting a new record with 7,000 race bibs assigned!
In terms of results, it was the French athlete Abdellatif MEFTAH who won this 13th edition of the PromโClassic in 28’47”. Among the women, it was once again the French Laurane PICOCHE, who had already won the PromโClassic in 2009, achieving the feat this year by completing the race in 33’19”.
No record-breaking time for this new edition, but a new participation record should once again allow the PromโClassic to maintain its place as France’s number 1 10 km race!
Among the men, Abdellatif MEFTAH dominated the event from start to finish, setting the pace for the race with a final time of 28’47”. The second place in this 10 km went to Grรฉgory BEUGNET in 28’57”, followed by Thibaud NAEL in 28’58”.
On the women’s side, the first kilometers flew by, and at mid-race, the podium started to take shape. Laurane PICOCHE claimed the top spot on the podium with 33’19”, far ahead of her competitor Fanny PRUVOST, who finished second in 34’32”, followed by Nathalie DA-PONTE in 35’49”.
The top finisher from the Azur region, Mike NJUGUNA, finished with a time of 30’30” in 16th place overall. The top regional finish was achieved by Abdelhakim ZILALI, who completed the race in 30’14” in 13th place overall. The top regional woman, Anne TABARANT, finished in 36’04” in 228th place overall.
