In a state of agitation, the protesters from Nice gathered in front of the prefecture palace at Place Pierre-Gautier, 500 according to the police and 1,000 according to the protesters, let’s say that, with a margin of 500 people, both were right…

Many were holding signs with a clear message, “marriage for all, an aberration”. For these protesters, the “problem” is above all the right to adoption for same-sex couples and medically assisted procreation.

Eric Ciotti, Deputy and President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, was with the protesters as he had announced, and one could also see Jacques Peyrat and the Nice identity group there. Christian Estrosi, the Deputy Mayor of Nice, declined the invitation but nevertheless announced that he would lead the debate in Parliament.
