-HOW COULD I HOLD ON IN THERE?
Alphonse Daudet | Stéphane Blanquet | Jean Lambert-wild
Where does our attachment to Blanquette, Mr. Seguin’s little goat, so spirited and so coquettish, come from? To her irrepressible desire for freedom and adventure, for wild pastures and vast spaces… To her determination to free herself from her ropes to leave her master and risk the cruel confrontation with the wolf… This beautiful and tragic story is completely magnified by the work of Jean Lambert-wild and his team, offering an inventive and elegant visual theater performance that surpasses the realistic narrative to explore other shores: that of the coming-of-age tale for young and old, shaken by the despair of The Goat who whispers in their ear “How could I hold on in there?” On stage, the oppression crescendos, the images run wild, and the end is inevitable… Oh how far away the soft green grass is!
