Less than two years from the deadline of January 1, 2015, the Association of the Paralyzed of France (APF) is publishing its fourth edition of the accessibility barometer today.
The aim of this barometer is to assess the degree of involvement of municipalities in making their locations accessible for people with motor disabilities and to highlight the best practices of committed cities.
Grenoble leads the ranking as the most accessible city in France for people with disabilities, with an average score of 18.4/20, overtaking Nantes for the first time in three years and Belfort, which share the second place with an average score of 17.4/20, according to the barometer of the Association of the Paralyzed of France (APF) published this Monday.
Ranked 67th last year, Nice rises again in the APF accessibility barometer to reach the 62nd place in this national ranking this year.ยฐ
This ranking praises the policy on disability and the actions taken daily in consultation with associations to make up for its delay, which remains considerable and requires new and larger efforts.

โThis ranking rewards the quality of the work accomplished and the efforts made by all the services of the city of Nice, in consultation with associations of people with disabilities. Our city must be accessible to all types of disability: visual, auditory, motor, mental. It is our collective responsibility to enable each person with a disability to become an active citizen.โ
