Table tennis: Nice CPC qualifies two teams for the French Interclub Championships!

Latest News

The Nice CPC has just secured two tickets for the French interclub championships. The number one club on the Cรดte d’Azur indeed won the title in the under-13 category as well as the silver medal in the under-15 category on Sunday afternoon in Istres, during the Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur regional championships.

The under-13 team achieved a historic performance as it was composed of three young players, meaning children two to three years younger than their opponents. They even achieved a clean sweep, only conceding two games throughout the day, held in freezing cold conditions.
Meanwhile, the under-15s fulfilled their objective by qualifying for the national meeting, only losing to Cannet, a more logical defeat given the rankings rather than the scenario of the final.
The under-18s stopped at the semi-final stage, defeated by Toulon, which fielded a more balanced team than the one from Nice. These excellent performances fully validate the commitment and investment of the club and its sports educators in promoting training.

The French championships will take place on May 12 and 13 in Joue-les-Tours, Indre-et-Loire.

The Nice CPC will attend with the goal of performing well and proudly defending the colors of the Cรดte dโ€™Azur, but above all to continue the training of its young players, especially the three young players who will have an exceptional sporting experience there.

Note that there was no junior championship and the under-15 girls had to forfeit due to the injuries of Chloรฉ Rottier and Cรฉlia Menar.

Under-13s: Nice CPC beat Pertuis 3 to 1 in the final, Barcelonnette 3 to 1 in the semi-final, Pays de Giono (Manosque) 3 to 0 in the quarter-final
