GABRIEL RINGLET
Priest, writer, journalist, and academic, Gabriel Ringlet has been a professor and vice-rector of the Catholic University of Louvain. A member of the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium, his vocation is intimately tied to writing, particularly through the intersection of current events, the Gospel, and the imagination. This weaving is something he particularly develops at the Priory of Malรจves-Sainte-Marie in Walloon Brabant (Belgium).
He invests greatly in end-of-life accompaniment and encourages a profound dialogue between free thoughts.
Gabriel Ringlet is invited to Nice by the EHPAD Pauliani Foundation and the Health Pastoral Care.
Through a conference that is both serious and light, tender and stimulating, the speaker will explain why we need to talk about death when everything is going well, “precisely when the weather is nice.” Drawing from his book “This is Your Body,” he will mainly discuss accompaniment, explaining that allowing death to grow within oneself is not a sad thing, far from it, but a way to live the present moment more fully.
As is his habit, Gabriel Ringlet will intertwine spiritual reflection and poetic evocation in a conference that is both cheerful and encouraging.
