AFTER “THE MARCH OF THE CENTURY,” HOW TO GET EUROPE MOVING AGAIN?
On Thursday, June 16, the European Movement of Alpes-Maritimes invites all citizens concerned about their future to the Faculty of Law in Nice to attend an exceptional conference-debate led by Jean-Marie CAVADA.
His name, of course, brings to mind the iconic program “The March of the Century,” which he created and hosted for 12 years until 1999.
Since then, the Television Man became a Member of the European Parliament in 2004. He now ensures the smooth operation of Europe, a challenging task indeed. For him, Europe is in danger. All challenges are piling up: globalization, competition from emerging powers, nationalist retreat, and the rise of extremes.
But for Jean-Marie CAVADA, giving up is not an option. During the debate, he will propose several avenues to finally lead the 27 European countries to implement a truly common economic governance.
