This exhibition, presented from June 24 to October 16, 2011, is part of the event “Contemporary Art and the Côte d’Azur – A Territory for Experimentation, 1951-2011.”
Featuring around a hundred works on the theme of the photographer-walker, the exhibition will showcase the photographic journeys of eleven authors, both renowned and emerging, including Gabriele Basilico, Bernard Plossu, Galith Sultan, Olivier Monge, Lionel Bouffier, Jean-Pierre Fernandez, Laurent Therese, Eric Bourret, Michel Graniou, Frédéric Nakache, and Nicolas Frémiot. These artists reflect the richness and diversity of contemporary photographic creation in our region.
These images illustrate the great diversity of the photographic itineraries of their authors and highlight the unique qualities of our region, which has always been a source of inspiration for artists.
