Monaco: “The Passion of Christ” at the L’Entrepôt Gallery

Latest News

Opening reception on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, starting at 7:00 PM at Galerie l’Entrepôt, 22 rue de Millo 98 000 Monaco, in the presence of the artists of the Sarasvati Group.

SARASVATI is an Indian goddess of arts, language, and communication, uninterested in material possessions. It is also a group of artists, mostly residing in the Principality, but open to all, working on specific themes to exchange ideas and engage in common artistic challenges, blending all forms of art…

SARASVATI is an open group, forming and reforming with each exhibition, in constant evolution and with complete freedom. For this first exhibition of the group, we have chosen a unifying and foundational theme: “The Passion of Christ.”

This theme allowed us to confront our creations and religious sensibilities (atheist, agnostic, believer, etc.), not to shock, but to provoke reflection, questioning, or simply an emotion. The works exhibited will offer as many different visions of the Passion of Christ as an artistic reflection of what it has become in our faith and/or imagination.

SARASVATI is initially composed of: Gigi Lopez,
Tuula Hirvonen,
Paulina Ana Luer,
Edyta,
Mr OneTeas,
SAW,
Christopher Cook,
Raimond Hommet,
Hannaka,
Franck Rougier,
Woolley.

As Mr. Voltaire said: “All the arts are brothers, each one sheds light on the others.”
