The Festival has ended, and its program spanned over 5 Sundays, featuring 5 feature films and 7 short films, offering a glimpse into the rich Israeli cinematic production by established or emerging directors. A major cultural event in the city of Nice, the Nice Israel Film Festival confirmed its success with the public, attracting over 1,800 spectators.
During this ceremony, which was attended by Barnรฉa Hassid, Consul General of Israel in Marseille, Claude Bensadoun, President of Bnai Brith Golda Meir, and Laurent Gahnassia from the Israeli Tourist Office in Paris, the Festival’s guest of honor, actor Lior Ashkenazi, presented the “Golden Mimosas” to the best-selected feature and short films. This year, the winners were “God’s Neighbors” by Meni Yaesh and “Nyosha” by Liran Kapel and Yael Dekel.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Daniel Benchimol, Deputy for Health, General Counselor, presented Lior Ashkenazi with the City of Nice’s Medal of Honor. The friendly relations and exchanges between the City of Nice and Israel are demonstrated through numerous cooperative and fruitful exchanges in the fields of culture, education and higher education, Francophonie, urban development, sports, and health, notably with the twin city of Netanya since 1968, and more recently with the city of Haifa.
