In the presence of Mr. Jean-Michel Devret, Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, Mr. Christian Estrosi, Deputy, Mayor of Nice, President of Nice Côte d’Azur, and Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, the armed forces, the National Gendarmerie, the National Police, the Municipal Police, and the Fire Brigade of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, along with the participation of an Italian detachment from the 3rd Mountain Infantry Regiment.

Indeed, as part of the 150th anniversary of Italian unification, an Italian detachment will parade alongside French forces.

This is a detachment from the 3rd Mountain Infantry Regiment based in Pinerolo, which will include a detachment leader officer, Commander Mario Renna, a flag bearer, and a platoon of 30 men.

This regiment is a light infantry unit specialized in mountain combat and operates under very difficult climatic conditions.

 SCHEDULE OF THE CEREMONY

5:30 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Beginning of the ceremony.

5:45 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Honors to the emblems.

6:00 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Arrival of the Departmental Military Delegate, flag salute, troop review, reading of the July 14th history by Adjutant Sandra Fort from the Nice Departmental Military Delegation.

6:20 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Arrival of the parliamentarians and authorities, flag salute.

6:45 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Awarding of decorations.

6:50 PM: Espace Jacques Cotta – Ground and aerial parade – 4 Alphajets from the Squadron sponsored by the City of Nice – ETO Nice (ES 02.008) – Air Base 120 of Cazaux. Patrol leader: Commander Adrien Combault.

7:20 PM: End of the ceremony – Followed by a cocktail at the Villa Masséna.

10:00 PM: Opposite the Casino Ruhl – Grand fireworks display offered by the Nice Tourist and Convention Office.

Twenty minutes of a true musical pyrotechnic staging. A show combining humor and musical ambiance presenting eleven scenes, evoking popular balls, with varied music ranging from electro to French variety.

The finale will surprise the audience becoming actors of the event…

From 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM: Along the Promenade des Anglais – Prom’ Party. Seven musical stages will offer the public festive melodies.

Scheduled artists: DJ Denis (DJ) – Luc Ramirez (jazz) – Emile Antile (biguine, special guest to celebrate the year of the Overseas) – Tyrolfest (Italian variety) – Kashkaval (gypsy) – Nabori (Cuban) – Riri Biagini (musette) and the street artists: the Miss Trash, the Enchanted Toys, and the Aquabikes.

 THE “ETOILE” SCHOONER OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The “Etoile” Schooner, under the command of Lieutenant Laurent MATTER, will be positioned at sea opposite the official stands. The vessel will call at Nice from Wednesday, July 13th at 4:00 PM to Saturday, July 16th at 8:00 AM.

On this occasion, the ship will be open to the public on Thursday, July 14th, from 10:00 AM to noon and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
