The “les petites étoiles” branch is the seventh in the territory of the city of Nice. It is located next to the multi-reception center “Les Rainettes,” which will allow the teams to implement joint projects.
24 municipal accredited childminders depend on this branch, which accommodates an average of 65 children. This opening meets a strong demand since the La Madeleine neighborhood lacked this type of facility.
The work, carried out by the city of Nice, involved the restructuring and renovation of the premises (reception and waiting hall, activity area for children with an adjoining cleaning room, kitchenette, offices, and restrooms), the creation of access for people with reduced mobility, and the compliance of existing premises with a surface area of over 90m².
The total cost of the operation amounts to 189,000 euros.
As part of the second Child and Youth Contract 2010/2013, the Alpes-Maritimes CAF granted the city of Nice an investment subsidy of 50,000 euros.
