This morning, as part of the school’s Press and Media Week, a focus was placed on two initiatives from Port Lympia College, which offers its students the opportunity to create a television news program and design a school newspaper called “Issa Lympia.”
It was the President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, Mr. Eric Ciotti, who came to discover these two operations overseen by the teachers in charge of the projects: Ms. Schwab, Ms. DโOvidio, Mr. Dumont, and Mr. Tournier.
To start the morning, an editorial conference was hosted by Franck Viano to organize and guide the three working groups covering this initiative through editorial articles and photo galleries, as well as the video team char. The three themes were: The Port Lympia TV news, the paper newspaper “Issa Lympia,” the sales operation by the Segpa sales section and finally a report on Torball. The visually impaired students were responsible for filming to create the daily television news.
Eric Ciotti’s arrival marked the beginning of the operation with an interview conducted by the visually impaired young students of Franรงois Dumont, followed by student writers from Ms. Schwab’s class for the paper newspaper.
The visit then continued with the presentation of the Segpa sales section, which launched a large newspaper sale within the school’s premises that very day.
Finally, a return to the computer room was made to gather all the collected information and the photos taken, leading to the drafting of the various articles which will be available at the end of the week on the front page of Nice Premium, as well as the television news which will be aired at the beginning of the week.
