At the Terra Amata Museum: Archaeology makes waves when comics turn back time

For the past 5 years, the Museum of Archaeology in Nice has been organizing a public event titled “Archaeology, A Whole Novel.” This event explores the relationship between archaeology and fiction.

This year, speakers from the world of comic books are invited to show you how the 9th art engages with Prehistory and the Gallo-Roman era.

The event will take place at the Museum of Archaeology in Nice, at the prehistoric site of Terra Amata this Saturday, April 6 at 4 PM.

Speakers:

Dominique Buisine, director of the Pont des Arts collection, for “Brother of Horses” and “Little Noun”; Alain Genot, archaeologist at the Departmental Museum of Ancient Arles, technical advisor and co-scriptwriter of the comic “Arelate”; Laurent Sieurac, scriptwriter, illustrator, and colorist of the comic “Arelate.”

Moderators:

Monique Jannet, director of the Museum of Archaeology in Nice, and Bertrand Roussel, Deputy Director of the Museum of Archaeology in Nice.
