The Marine World Discovery Center organizes Bibliomer in July and August.
This mobile library showcases the beauties of marine life and the coastline to the public on the beaches of the French Riviera and moves from Antibes to Eze beaches, Monday to Friday, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., to inform interested swimmers.
Games and activities are offered to children, as well as a contest to win numerous prizes by listening to France Bleu Azur.
– Objectives: To introduce the biodiversity of the Mediterranean coast and sea, the challenges of the coastal and beach areas of the French Riviera. To teach the best practices for protecting our sea. To better understand the biological richness of bathing areas.
– Resources: Provision of books, educational tools, files, brochures, videos, and other documents specific to each audience: children, youth, and adults, with the help of a โBibliomerโ HONDA vehicle, a true mobile library and toy library set up near the beaches with a โrelaxation cornerโ: umbrella, chairs, reading, and meeting area. Banners and a โBibliomerโ ATLANTIS tarp mark the stand on the beach.
– Organization: Each day, a different city on the French Riviera welcomes Bibliomer’s activities, set up on the beach with the municipality’s agreement and support from numerous sponsors.
Alongside the books and games offered, the public has the opportunity to consult documents about the environmental actions proposed in the visited city and engage in discussions on major environmental issues.
With France Bleu Azur, a partner of the operation, a live broadcast takes place in the late afternoon around 5:23 p.m. about the state of the beach, the water quality, encounters with swimmers for their opinions and concerns… and a live meeting with a local elected official or technician to review the actions taken.
A game is organized on the France Bleu Azur channel to indicate the location of Bibliomer and allows participants to win numerous prizes with the support of our partners, including ATLANTIS bags, entries to the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, the Phoenix Park in Nice, and many other prizes.
Come discover this year’s novelty: an interactive game โLittorรดlesโ designed for everyone, allowing you to explore the coastline and put yourself in the shoes of an expert consultant to address the questions of residents and the municipality using a digital tablet!
