The students of Polytech Nice Sophia, the engineering school of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, are organizing the event “A Penny for a Breath,” a sporting and fun event with a very evocative name to support the Grégory Lemarchal Association and one day bring to an end the leading serious genetic disease in France.

A day of solidarity to carry the hope of patients who are short of breath. Starting at 9 AM, participants will set off on an orienteering race in Sophia Antipolis that combines running, puzzles, and challenges.

The afternoon will be dedicated to sports with a multi-discipline tournament: football, beach volleyball, running, pétanque. For the younger participants, many activities will be organized such as knockdown games and a giant foosball…

To satisfy the appetite of participants and visitors, a space will offer refreshments and food.

At 5 PM, during the awards ceremony, a draw for a voluntary subscription will take place, rewarding the luckiest participants with prizes like fitlane memberships, vouchers, and amusement park tickets.

A team of regional volunteers will be delighted to welcome visitors to a stand dedicated to information on cystic fibrosis and raising awareness about organ donation to save lives, along with a shop area showcasing the association’s official merchandise.
