nissa-rebela.png“The score achieved nationally by Marine Le Pen — candidate supported by Nissa Rebela following the consultation of its members last January — has been sufficiently commented on and praised, even by hostile media, so there is no need to elaborate further.

With a score of 23.03% in the city of Nice, Marine Le Pen achieves a performance 5 points higher than the score obtained nationwide. Nicolas Sarkozy’s clear decline in the city as well as in the entire department, compared to 2007, reflects the profound rejection of his policy and his persona. A rejection likely amplified by the prevailing anti-estrosisme sentiment.

It is in Nice 3rd district, the “zona rebela” where the identitarians are particularly entrenched, that the patriotic candidate achieves her best score with an exceptional 28.33%. It would seem easy to dismiss this as just an electoral coincidence.

Equally significant is the result obtained by the socialists in Nice 13th district (Ariane neighborhood). François Hollande garners 40.44%, a score breaking away from the results in the rest of the city. Marine Le Pen comes in second with 22.12% (Sarkozy and Mélenchon are tied around 15%). Both the socialist result and the far-left result demonstrate a very significant mobilization of immigrants or descendants of immigrants in favor of their candidates. The ethno-cultural vote, the ethnic divide in politics, are now a reality. At the same time, Marine Le Pen’s 22.12% in this sector appears as a vote of native resistance. An identity vote!

Today, I reiterate my call for unity and wish to offer the full participation of the identitarians from the County of Nice in the legislative elections for the 5th constituency. By putting our militant strength and our important network of sympathizers in the Nice mountains behind a unified candidacy, this result, positive as it may be, can still be amplified.

To win, the anti-globalist camp must be united. What is underway for the local elections of 2014 must begin with these legislative elections. Let’s start by driving Christian Estrosi out of the National Assembly, before driving him out of the town hall!” Philippe Vardon, president of Nissa Rebela.
