Table tennis: Two good points for Nice CPC

Latest News

Valiant and united, the table tennis players of Nice CPC achieved another feat last night in Seine-Maritime, where they held their ground against SPO Rouen (3-3) during the 16th day of Pro B.

Facing a team that was once again superior on the match sheet, the Nice club made the right choices and found the necessary resources to snatch a very good draw late in the evening.
SPO Rouen once again relied on its leader Marko Jevtovic, who recently qualified for the London Olympics.

After two highly contested matches, the Serbian first dominated the Hungarian David Zombori, then the Mexican Marcos Madrid. Before the break, Madrid dealt a real blow to the young Frenchman Thomas Le Breton.

As for Nice CPC, they particularly benefited from the two superb performances by Anthony Peretti against Le Breton and the French junior Alexandre Robinot, who had beaten him in the first leg match won by
the Rouen team (1-4) on December 6 at the Raoul-Dufy hall.

This fifth draw of the season keeps Olivier Maero and Cédric Rouleau’s men in 5th place in the championship, tied on points with SPO Rouen.

In two weeks, they will travel to Fontenay-sous-Bois, in Ile-de-France, with the ambition of securing a sixth victory.

They will then return to their Raoul-Dufy hall on May 29 for the reception of the French champion, Argentan, during the 18th and final day of the season.
