On Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 9:30 a.m., Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, will present the project for the Departmental Center for the Professionalization of Personal Assistance Jobs.
The creation of the Departmental Center, a true one-stop service, has the dual objective of ensuring high-quality service for the elderly and disabled while structuring and promoting this employment-generating sector for the coming years. This center, intended for job seekers, RSA recipients, anyone wanting to enter the personal assistance profession, sector employees, employers, and family caregivers, will be a coordinating body for all partners and existing tools in the sector to support actions in its development and professionalization.
The General Council continues its commitment to the personal assistance job sector.
It should be noted that personal assistance services are experiencing significant growth due to a rising demand primarily linked to population aging and family needs. The General Council has, for many years, offered the opportunity to explore these professions through the โDepartmental Guide to Training and Careers in Personal Assistance Services,โ to participate in informational meetings held throughout the department, and to fund qualifying trainings (such as social life auxiliary, family life assistant, medical-psychological aid, and nursing assistant).
